Who Has The Best ND8?

how test was shotYou be the judge.

The image of the ND filters below, some of our most popular ND8 filters, was created with a Canon Digital Rebel, on a tripod with a Gepe Light Box 6000K for the light source.

As we hope you can see not all ND's are the same. You should be able to see on your monitor, some have a slight tint and not because of the coatings. All ND's are not the same. The Tiffen's are made using the original Kodak Wratten gels "a standard set for 50+years and always have been considered perfect ND filters. Marumi Filters 2 choices in ND filters, B+W some types are not coated.and Sunpak (Made by Marumi) have 2 versions

Grades ND 2 and ND 4 also available Excellent for ultra wide digital zooms ND 0.9 only in mono coated version Perfect for ultra wide digital zooms Solid Glass ND filters Industry Standard

Neutral Density Camera Filters

The Tiffen's are made with the Motion Picture Products Industries world wide standard glass laminate method.

All of the above Neutral Density filters are mounted in black threaded anodized rings, some filters versions are in lower profile rings for today's new ultra wide zooms 12 mm and under. Like the Marumi DHG ND8's The filter mount is only 3mm thick with threads on both sides now proven to be excellent for 4+ years. All brands of round ND filters come with useful packages for storage use.
